Initial consultation and thorough scar analysis
RF Subcision is a minimally invasive, advanced dermatological procedure designed for deep, depressed acne scars, skin aging issues, loose skin, open pores, and mild skin sagging. It uses the traditional subcision technique to release the fibrous scar attachments, followed by radiofrequency energy to cut/breakdown, coagulate, and ablate the scar tissues underneath the skin while stimulating dermal remodeling.
High-frequency radio waves, typically 2 to 4 MHz, are delivered beneath the skin using a specialized RF device. They cause the water in the scar tissue to vibrate, generating steam. The steam causes ablation of the scarred tissue while coagulating and sealing the underlying blood vessels.
Simultaneously, the radiofrequency energy causes a controlled thermal stimulation of fibroblasts. Fibroblasts get activated to produce skin structural proteins- collagen and elastin. With enhanced collagen and elastin production and skin regeneration, the skin restores its natural smoothness, clarity, and glow for the long term.
